While it may not come as a surprise, writing is one of the most prominent responsibilities of being on staff. In any given week, I spent an average of 5-10 hours writing one story. Learning how to sculpt voice, transitions, and structure came with years of developing my skills and working with other writers.

With 6 years experience across 2 publications, The Prospector printed 8-10 issues each year and The Pendulum prints once a week. I have written many stories throughout my career, and designed most of their accompanying pages. As I have built up time and experience on Adobe programs — namely Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop — my work demonstrates my progression of skill over time. The majority of my most elaborate pages were created during my senior year of high school, only to match the elaborate nature of the stories they tell.
