My Story

Freshman year of high school, I registered for Journalistic Writing 1  because I needed an elective. I quite liked the idea of working on different writing styles, and since I just needed to fill one semester, I never anticipated continuing with the class. In fact, I was already registered for a personal finance course second semester.

Little did I know that not only was Journalistic Writing the class for the school newspaper, but that it would also introduce me to some of the best people and memories that I've ever known. I fell in love with journalism. I ended up dropping personal finance in favor of Journalistic Writing 2, and consequently, every Journalistic Writing course thereafter. It goes without saying that if I had taken personal finance, there's no way I would have chosen a career as a journalist.
