My Story

Freshman year, I registered for Journalistic Writing 1  because I needed an elective, and I thought it would be a laid back English class where I could work on different writing styles. I just needed to fill a semester, and I never anticipated continuing with the class. In fact, I was already registered for personal finance second semester.

Little did I know that not only was Journalistic Writing the class for the school newspaper, but that it would also introduce me to some of the best people and memories that I've ever known. I fell in love with journalism. I ended up dropping personal finance in favor of Journalistic Writing 2, and consequently, every Journalistic Writing course thereafter. It goes without saying that if I had taken personal finance, there's no way I would have chosen a career as a journalist.
